Job Title: Solutions Architect
Location: Tampa, FL
Responsibilities
Trace Systems is actively recruiting for a Solutions Architect to support the EAGLE-I contract in Tampa, FL.
This position is part of a pipeline, meaning it's not currently open but may become available in the near future. We appreciate your interest and encourage you to stay connected for future opportunities.
The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Will serve as a technical authority across systems, networks, and cyber, guiding mission-driven architecture, interoperability, and resilience for sensor data backhaul across air/maritime/ground domains.
- Defines and governs reference architectures, standards, and roadmaps (DoDAF/TOGAF), aligns designs to zero-trust, RMF/ATO, STIGs, and COOP objectives, and drives tech insertion for emerging platforms (including unmanned systems).
- Leads trades, modeling, and interface control (ICDs/data flows).
- Chairs design reviews, TEMs, and TRBs.
- Coordinates with PMO, cyber, and NOC/operations.
- Delivers strategy and resilience plans, architecture diagrams/views, technical reports, and performance optimization recommendations.
- Mentors engineering teams and synchronizes field/FRS feedback to ensure continuous improvement and mission readiness across CONUS/OCONUS sites.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Active, in-scope US Government issued Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- 10+ years leading architecture governance (DoDAF views, ICDs, trades), TRR/ERB/CCB, and tech insertion across CONUS/OCONUS
- 10+ years architecting system-of-systems for C2ISR (SATCOM, IP/MPLS/SDN, cross-domain)
- 8140 / IAT Level III (CompTIA Security+ OR Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) etc.)
- Expertise in RMF and ATO processes, with extensive experience applying STIG inheritance, designing COOP and highavailability architectures, and engineering resilient enterprise systems
Desired Qualifications:
- 15+ years leading architecture governance (DoDAF views, ICDs, trades), TRR/ERB/CCB, and tech insertion across CONUS/OCONUS
- 20+ years architecting system-of-systems for C2ISR (SATCOM, IP/MPLS/SDN, cross-domain)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) OR Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications
- BS or MS in relevant technical field
