- Receives, interprets, enters into computer, and prepares prescription orders for checking by the pharmacists
- Supports pharmacy quality assurance program
- Triage department information inquiries (answering telephones)
- Maintains confidential records and files
- Maintains order and appearance of the pharmacy
Occasional Duties
- Performs other duties of a certified technician
Required Qualifications
Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. License/Certification: Must be registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer service experience to equal 6 mos
- Previous work in a pharmacy setting to equal 6 mos
- Previous experience with point of sale and cash handling
- Can hold a Pharmacy Technician in Training license, with the expectation that employee will become fully certified within that two year time frame
