Position Description

Implements, upgrades, and supports assigned application module(s). Troubleshoots and resolves reported system and application problems in the test and production environment. Documents and describes processes and procedures relating to current and future systems environments.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Configure, implement, test, maintain, and support assigned Epic application modules and related system integrations.
  • Analyze user requirements, workflows, and business processes to develop effective system solutions and optimization opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application, system, and interface issues in test and production environments.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, recommend solutions, and support system enhancements.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, workflows, procedures, training materials, and change-management records.
  • Perform system testing, validation, and quality assurance activities to ensure application functionality, reliability, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Manage assigned projects, tasks, and support tickets while meeting established deadlines and service-level expectations.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, workflow optimization, and increased user satisfaction.
  • Maintain Epic certifications and stay current with application updates, enhancements, and industry best practices.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and operational goals.
  • Provide on-call, after-hours, and weekend support as required for system upgrades, implementations, and issue resolution.
  • Travel to various organizational locations as needed to support users, projects, training, and system implementations may be required.
  • Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Must have and maintain an active Epic Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree and one year of experience or a combination of education and experience to equal (5) years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic Cogito certification
