Accounting Manager

Columbia, MD 21046, US Full Time
Compensation: $120 to $140 Yearly

A large, globally operating organization is seeking a Accounting Manager to support consolidations, technical accounting, and external reporting across a multi-entity, international structure.

This is a high-visibility role offering exposure to global reporting, GAAP and IFRS concepts, and complex financial processes, with opportunities to grow into broader technical and leadership responsibilities.

Consolidations & Financial Reporting

  • Support preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements
  • Assist with external reporting packages, audit deliverables, and subsidiary reporting
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency within ERP systems and consolidation processes

Technical Accounting

  • Research and apply US GAAP and IFRS guidance to complex transactions
  • Analyze new accounting standards and support implementation efforts
  • Prepare technical accounting documentation and communicate conclusions to leadership

Audit & Compliance

  • Partner with external auditors to support quarterly reviews and annual audits
  • Prepare and review financial statements and footnotes for compliance and accuracy
  • Coordinate across departments to ensure timely delivery of audit support

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Support ERP system initiatives, including testing, validation, and enhancements
  • Help optimize close and consolidation processes
  • Identify opportunities for automation and reporting efficiency

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• At least 4 years of accounting experience, including work involving consolidations in public accounting, private industry, or both.

• Prior audit experience is strongly preferred.

• Strong background in month-end close, general ledger activity, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement audits.

• Ability to interpret and apply accounting guidance to complex reporting issues.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external auditors in a deadline-driven environment.

• Previous experience with a national public accounting firm is preferred.

• Advanced credentials or education, such as a master’s degree or CPA, are preferred.


Compensation

$120,000.00-$140,000.00 Yearly
