Accounting Manager / Controller

Compensation: $125 to $150 Yearly

High-growth CPG company is seeking its first Accounting Manager/Controller to build and lead the accounting function from the ground up. This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure in a scaling environment - owning everything from close to inventory/cost accounting while driving process improvements and system optimization in NetSuite. You’ll partner closely with leadership to create scalable processes, improve visibility into financials, and support continued growth.


Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within CPG or product-based companies
  • Strong experience with inventory and cost accounting (required)
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite (required)
  • Experience operating in a high-growth or startup environment preferred
  • Proven ability to build processes and SOPs from scratch
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus

Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Build and implement accounting policies, procedures, and SOPs from the ground up
  • Lead inventory accounting and cost accounting, including COGS, reserves, and reconciliations
  • Manage and optimize NetSuite, including reporting, workflows, and system improvements
  • Establish and maintain internal controls and support audit readiness
  • Oversee AP/AR, GL, and financial reporting functions
  • Produce and analyze financial statements, providing insights to leadership
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and leadership on inventory and margin analysis
  • Identify and implement process efficiencies and automation opportunities
  • Support future team build-out and scaling of the accounting function

Compensation

$125,000.00-$150,000.00 Yearly
