Billing Analyst
We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Analyst to join our Accounting and Finance team in Marlborough, Massachusetts. In this role, you will help manage the complete billing and revenue cycle, ensuring invoices are accurate, revenue activity is recorded properly, and reporting remains dependable. This opportunity is well suited to someone who works effectively in a fast-moving SaaS environment, enjoys refining financial processes, and collaborates well across teams.
Responsibilities:
• Generate and distribute accurate invoices for subscription services, appraisal work, and implementation-related revenue.
• Review executed customer agreements to confirm billing terms, pricing, and invoicing details are applied correctly.
• Oversee recurring billing calendars, monitor renewals, and keep billing cycles on schedule with a high level of accuracy.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end revenue close activities, including preparing supporting journal entries.
• Track deferred revenue balances and perform reconciliations to ensure records remain complete and accurate.
• Reconcile revenue-related accounts each month, research discrepancies, and resolve variances in a timely manner.
• Analyze changes in recurring revenue, customer attrition, account growth, and contract updates to support financial visibility.
• Recommend and help implement improvements that increase efficiency, strengthen accuracy, and support scalable billing operations.
• Partner with finance and accounting colleagues on reporting enhancements, close support, audit preparation, and responses to billing-related customer questions.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, revenue accounting, or a closely related finance function.
• Working knowledge of SaaS billing structures, subscription-based revenue models, and contract-driven invoicing practices.
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to use pivot tables, lookups, and other analytical functions effectively.
• Experience with financial or billing platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce, or comparable systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly across departments while managing inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
• Careful attention to detail, solid problem-solving ability, and comfort working in a high-growth, private equity-backed business environment.
