NOC Technician

We are looking for a skilled NOC Technician to join our team in Somerset, New Jersey. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the operation and maintenance of data center infrastructure. The role involves ensuring optimal performance of server, network, and storage hardware, along with addressing technical challenges in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain physical servers, network devices, and storage hardware within the data center.
• Perform equipment installations, including racking, stacking, and cable management to ensure proper connectivity.
• Identify and resolve hardware issues promptly to maintain high system uptime.
• Manage and optimize infrastructure performance while adhering to security standards.
• Address environmental concerns within the data center to ensure operational stability.
• Work with wireless technologies such as Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) and Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPAN).
• Utilize tools like Norton Utilities to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to implement solutions and improve processes.
• Apply industry best practices and standards to maintain system reliability.
• Conduct routine checks and preventive maintenance to avoid potential disruptions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Network Operations Center (NOC) environments.
• Proficiency in using Norton Utilities for system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) and Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPAN).
• Strong understanding of cable assemblies and effective cable management.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of data center operations, including server, network, and storage infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Relevant certifications in data center or networking technologies are preferred.

Compensation

$27.71-$32.09 Hourly
