REMOTE FOR IOWA RESIDENTS. YOU MUST RESIDE IN IOWA. IOWA ADDRESSES ONLY. WORK HYBRID ONSITE in the Des Moines IOWA AREA, WITH FLEXIBILITY EACH WEEK.
Direct Hire IT Director of IT in the IOWA area up to $200K PLUS A 20% Bonus depending on years of experience. You must reside in the Iowa area.
“Player / Coach” type of a role where you must have modern tech stack expertise from a Knowledge standpoint.
HANDS-ON TECHNICAL PLUS LEADERSHIP: You MUST have: hands on current, server & networking IT skills. This is NOT a just DIRECTING / Leadership position. You must straddle both technical AND Leadership.
You MUST HAVE:
• Current Technical demonstrated experience in a modern tech stack
• IT Budget
• IT Hiring and direct reports
• Tech Strategic Planning + Day to Day in the weeds!
• Technical Roadmap experience
• CyberSecurity Roadmap and expertise
• Azure / Cloud migration + M365 – can lead a Cloud migration
• Infrastructure – Server + Networking
• GRC – Governance, Risk & Compliance
• DevOps
• General compliance
• Previous Direct report experience. You will be on the Front Lines working to improve technology for the business, Drive Solutions for the business, and you will be a difference maker in working with the business and leading the Front lines o operations-Strategic & Technical standpoint! This IT Director / Director of IT is a Strategic AND Technical Lead role in a small IT shop!
• Proven track record of Direct Reports and Developing Staff. You must have Technical enough skills to UPSKILL a Technical Team, and address the technical gaps.
• Smaller IT Org, 10 Direct Reports, 10 – 15 people in IT with a larger company.
• Prior Infrastructure experience – Current Technical skills with VMware, server support / Windows, M365, and Storage.
• Any Application Development knowledge, 3rd party Vendor software package is a Plus such as Salesforce
• General understanding of Server and Network performance and troubleshooting; Windows Server, Active Directory & MS Exchange Server, VOIP, Citrix & HyperVisor technology, Networking, and Cloud based technology. O365,

Qualifications:
• Demonstrated success leading IT operations in a senior leadership capacity while remaining technically engaged in day-to-day environments.
• Infrastructure technologies, including Windows Server, VMware, storage systems, networking, and enterprise support.
• Experience with Microsoft cloud platforms and services such as Azure, Microsoft 365
• Cybersecurity principles, network security, governance, risk management, and general compliance practices.
• Manage IT budgets, allocate resources effectively, and support technology investment decisions.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, and leading technical staff, including oversight of direct reports in a small to mid-sized IT organization.
• Familiarity with vendor third-party business applications; exposure to platforms such as Salesforce is a plus.
Compensation
