Job Opportunity: Engineering Technician 

Job Location: Williamsport, PA

Hours/Days of Position: Monday through Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm (EST) 

  

At Spartronics, Engineering Technician I, is an entry-level position responsible for helping process, quality and production support activities. Principal responsibilities consist of assisting fellow technicians and engineers with new product introduction (NPI), machine programming, process improvement projects and procedural control methods/measures. Collateral duties include preventative maintenance of equipment, documentation upkeep, assisting production as/when able and fulfilling additional duties as required.  


What a Day Looks Like:  

  • Assisting engineering with process validation, product builds and trials
  • Collaborating with engineers to refine processes, update documentation, and support NPI
  • Helping with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects
  • Aiding with reports and documentation for audits, customers, or regulatory bodies
  • Helping facilitate compliance to AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, NADCAP and ITAR standards
  • Supporting other areas as needed, per business requirements and/or production flow
Requirements:

What You’ll Need to Bring:


Education

  • Associate's degree preferred; High school diploma or GED required

Experience

  • 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment with an Associates degree
  • Technical documentation and data analysis
  • 2-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment in lieu of an associates degree
  • Experience with technical documentation and data analysis

Skills

  • Strong team player, capable of effectively communicating, actively listening and collaborating 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. 
  • Must read, write and comprehend English as to interpret production and safety documentation

Technology skills

  • Ability to certify to IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001, if not already
  • Familiarity with process and quality tools such as Six Sigma, Pareto analysis and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
