Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a n IPIM Professional, located in Raynham, MA
The IP Operational Professional plays a key role in supporting DePuy Synthes' intellectual property and innovation management activities. This position partners closely with l egal, R&D, and business stakeholders to help protect, manage, and leverage intellectual property assets across the product lifecycle. The role offers exposure to innovative medical technologies and contributes directly to safeguarding the company's competitive advantage while enabling responsible growth and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support intellectual property intake, review, and evaluation processes for inventions, disclosures, and related documentation.


  • Coordinate with l egal, R&D, and business partners to track IP matters, deadlines, and deliverables.


  • Work with outside vendors to support the maintenance of IP management systems, databases, and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.


  • Manage renewals and maintenance fee payment processing.


  • Prepare reports, summaries, and basic analyses related to intellectual property portfolios and activities.


  • Coordinate patent and trademark acquisitions and divestitures in an efficient manner.


  • Support patent, trademark, or other IP‑related workflows, including external counsel coordination under guidance.


  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal staff to maintain and update intellectual property procedures and policies for DePuy Synthes


  • Contribute to other continuous improvement initiatives for IP and legal operational processes.


  • Apply company policies in all daily interactions and work activities.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required (e.g., Legal Studies, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field).


  • Advanced degree or IP, legal operations, or paralegal certifications preferred .


Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 6 - 8 years of relevant professional experience in legal operations, intellectual property, or a regulated business environment.


  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.


  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.


  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.


  • Proficiency with standard office and document management tools.


Preferred:

  • Exposure to intellectual property management , processes , and Memotech .


  • Experience supporting l egal, R&D, or innovation teams in a corporate environment.


  • Familiarity with IP management systems or databases.


  • Experience in medical technology or life sciences.


Other:

  • Language: English required .


  • Travel: Up to 10%, primarily domestic.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
66,000.00 - 1,18,800.00 USD Annual

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
