Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Own end‑to‑end A2R activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Establish and maintain strong close governance, controls, and documentation to support internal and external audit requirements.
- Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and business teams to ensure alignment between operational activity and financial results.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline close timelines, improve data quality, and enhance reporting efficiency.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Support system implementations, process standardization, and finance transformation initiatives impacting A2R processes.
- Serve as a key finance leader supporting business changes, restructurings, and other complex accounting matters.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting , Finance, or a related field (required).
- MBA or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Typically requires 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting, close, A2R, or financial reporting roles.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex close processes in a large, matrixed organization.
- Proven people leadership experience, including managing and developing teams.
Preferred:
- Experience with A2R transformation, shared services, or global accounting models.
- Experience with ERP and financial close systems (e.g., SAP or similar platforms).
- Background in a manufacturing, medical device, or healthcare environment.
- Experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews, and complex accounting topics.
- CPA or equivalent professional certification.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to partner effectively with cross‑functional and senior stakeholders.
Other:
- Languages: English (required).
- Travel: Up to 10-15%, primarily domestic with occasional international travel.
- Certifications: CPA or equivalent (preferred).
