Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for an Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer at its Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. Our ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, a drive to lead from where you are, collaborative people skills, and the proven ability to work within a technically diverse and fast-paced team. This position will provide the training and mentorship necessary to perform threat system research, ECM technique development, laboratory system and field testing, and platform implementation. This position is in Warner Robins, GA and requires that you work on-site daily.
Roles and responsibilities will include:
Perform radar system threat research and analysis to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
Design, develop, and test Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) waveforms that exploit vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
Perform hands-on testing of an EW system in development environments, system integration labs and at customer/contractor facilities.
Support planning working groups and routinely participate in live test events.
Generate and update system and sub-system level specifications, ensure verification traceability, develop test plans, perform analysis of test results and prepare comprehensive reports.
Regularly interface with customer to develop system requirements for test phases.
This position may be filled at Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer level.
Basic Qualifications:
Systems Engineer: Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited school with 2 years of relevant experience; Master’s with 0 Years
Princ. Systems Engineer: Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited school with 5 years of relevant experience; Master’s with 3 Years
Understanding of radar waveforms, Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and/or Electronic Countermeasures (ECM)
Experience with software development
Experience with lab test equipment such as function generator, oscilloscope, multi-meter, spectrum analyzers, etc.
Great communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with many external organizations
Starting this role is contingent upon obtaining a U.S. Government Secret level security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ECM technique development
Experience running RF lab test equipment, including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and EW specific analysis tools
Software experience in Ada, C-type languages
Knowledgeable in Agile software development methodology
Experience in performing aircraft functional test
Current Secret clearance or higher
