Trust & Estates Attorney
We are partnering with a long-standing, highly respected law firm in the Twin Cities metro to identify an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join their growing practice. This firm has built a strong reputation for providing sophisticated, client-focused legal services and maintaining deep relationships within the community.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience and a strong background in estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters. This attorney will work closely with high-net-worth individuals and families, providing strategic guidance on complex estate and wealth transfer planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and implement comprehensive estate plans, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and advanced planning strategies
- Advise clients on tax-efficient wealth transfer, business succession planning, and asset protection
- Manage trust and estate administration matters from start to finish
- Handle probate proceedings and related court filings
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, particularly with high-net-worth individuals and families
- Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to deliver integrated solutions
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in Minnesota (or ability to obtain promptly)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate
- Demonstrated experience working with high-net-worth clients and complex estates
- Strong technical knowledge of estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax issues
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and client service
