Location: Milwaukee-area (hybrid: ~1 day onsite/week)

- Must be local to the Milwaukee, WI metro area
We are seeking a Power BI Consultant / Financial Data Analyst to transform complex legacy financial data into clear, actionable reporting as part of a D365 Business Central implementation. This role will focus on building reporting from ~2.5 years of historical data across U.S. and international operations to support finance and executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, cleanse, and validate legacy financial data across multiple systems and locations
- Build Power BI reports for GL activity, trial balances, ending balances, and historical performance
- Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for finance and leadership teams
- Partner with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and ensure data accuracy
- Develop executive dashboards providing visibility into performance, margins, and trends across locations
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, gaps, and mapping challenges
Project Scope
- Phase I: Build foundational reporting using U.S. financial data
- Phase II: Develop executive dashboards for multi-location performance insights
- Future: Integrate European data, including VAT considerations and non-standard project tracking
Qualifications
- Strong Power BI experience working with financial data
- Experience with GL, trial balance, and historical reporting
- Ability to work with incomplete or inconsistent data across multiple sources
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Nice to Have
- ERP experience (ideally D365 Business Central)
- Multi-entity or international financial reporting background
- Exposure to VAT or labor/project allocation modeling
