Portfolio Manager

Compensation: $125 to $135 Yearly

We are looking for a Portfolio Manager to join a private wealth management firm in Maryland. In this role, you will partner with senior leadership and advisors to support investment analysis, portfolio oversight, client communications, and business development efforts. This opportunity is well suited for a finance specialist who combines strong market knowledge with strong presentation skills and a client-focused mindset.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with wealth advisors and firm leadership to assess client portfolios and support investment decisions aligned with client objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day portfolio activity, including trade coordination, rebalancing, reinvestment of proceeds, cash movements, and tax-loss harvesting considerations.
• Develop clear, effective presentation materials and portfolio reviews for client meetings, internal discussions, and prospective client conversations.
• Build financial models and reporting tools in Excel to evaluate investment performance, allocations, and planning scenarios.
• Contribute to new business initiatives by preparing materials for prospects and supporting advisor outreach efforts.
• Communicate effectively with clients, advisors, and internal stakeholders to address questions and provide timely portfolio-related updates.
• Apply knowledge of public market strategies, alternative investments, and financial planning concepts to support portfolio recommendations and client servicing.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in portfolio management, wealth management, investment advisory, or a closely related financial services role.
• Demonstrated ability to support portfolio implementation, trading activity, rebalancing, and ongoing account maintenance.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong experience creating executive-ready presentations in PowerPoint.
• Solid understanding of public markets investing, alternative investment approaches, and core financial planning practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with both internal teams and clients.
• Experience assisting with prospecting efforts, client presentations, or other new business development activities within an advisory environment.
• Registration as an Investment Adviser Representative or qualification through a recognized credential or successful completion of the Series 65 or Series 66 exam.

Compensation

$125,000.00-$135,000.00 Yearly
