Principal Experience Designer

We are looking for a Principal Experience Designer to lead the creation of refined, user-centered digital experiences for a suite of tools that helps homebuyers explore and personalize their future homes. Based in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, this Long-term Contract position will shape intuitive, high-end interfaces that simplify complex choices while reflecting a premium brand identity. This role blends strategic design thinking with hands-on execution, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver effective product experiences at scale.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the visual and interaction design of customer-facing product experiences, ensuring every interface aligns with established brand and design system standards.
• Work closely with engineering and cross-functional partners to turn concepts into well-executed digital solutions that are ready for implementation.
• Develop end-to-end design artifacts, including user journeys, wireframes, detailed mockups, and high-fidelity screens that support both customer needs and business objectives.
• Expand and refine reusable patterns that improve consistency, clarity, and ease of use across the platform.
• Strengthen and evolve the broader design system by contributing thoughtful components, guidance, and standards.
• Oversee design deliverables throughout the full project lifecycle, from early discovery and concept development through final handoff.
• Collaborate with creative leadership to craft a cohesive premium experience across all touchpoints within the product suite.
• Apply strategic thinking to solve complex design challenges and support scalable solutions across large product initiatives.

Qualifications:

• At least 7 years of experience designing digital products, with a strong preference for work on consumer-oriented experiences.
• A portfolio that demonstrates shipped work, sophisticated problem-solving, and a high level of excellence in both UI and UX design.
• Advanced proficiency with Figma and similar design tools, including practical experience using and contributing to design systems.
• Deep expertise in visual design, usability, and creating intuitive interfaces for complex digital products.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and produce high-quality work in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to incorporating feedback from partners and stakeholders.
• Ability to think strategically, design for scale, and influence product direction in partnership with senior leadership.

Compensation

$55.00-$60.00 Hourly
