Procurement Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support materials and purchasing operations for a Contract position based in Groveport, Ohio. In this role, you will help keep inbound supply activity on schedule by coordinating with cross-functional partners, monitoring shipment movement, and maintaining visibility into delivery status. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with data in Excel, and confident navigating procurement and inventory-related systems to support daily decision-making.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate incoming deliveries and follow shipment activity closely to help maintain timely material flow.
• Partner with purchasing, scheduling, and warehouse teams to share updates and resolve issues affecting inbound orders.
• Monitor inbound freight status and communicate delays, changes, or risks to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Maintain visibility over drop trailer activity to support efficient receiving and yard coordination.
• Review tariff-related price fluctuations and provide updated information that may affect procurement planning.
• Use internal systems, including SAP, to research order details, shipment records, and purchasing information as needed.
• Prepare and update tracking logs, reports, and spreadsheets to support materials and planning operations.
• Provide day-to-day support to the Materials and Planning Manager by helping organize procurement-related activities and follow-up actions.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting procurement, purchasing, or materials coordination activities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong working knowledge of purchase orders, buying processes, and inbound shipment tracking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manage data accurately and maintain organized reporting.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise systems used for purchasing, shipment visibility, or materials management.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple teams and communicate updates in a clear, timely manner.
• Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and the ability to manage changing priorities.
• Experience monitoring deliveries, tracking freight movement, or supporting warehouse-related supply activities.

Compensation

$30.00-$35.00 Hourly
