Tax Staff - Public

We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Staff member to join our team in Savannah, Georgia. In this role, you will handle a variety of tax-related tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing accurate financial reporting. This position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively while managing tax preparation processes and contributing to the success of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns with precision and accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

• Review tax documents and filings to identify potential errors or discrepancies.

• Provide guidance and support to entry-level team members, fostering their growth and development.

• Conduct thorough research on tax laws and regulations to stay updated on changes.

• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and clarify tax-related inquiries.

• Manage multiple tax projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.

• Utilize Ultra Tax software to streamline tax preparation and processing.

• Analyze financial data to optimize tax strategies and minimize liabilities.

• Monitor and improve internal processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance.
• Proficiency in preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Experience using Ultra Tax software or similar tax preparation tools.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to review and analyze financial documents accurately.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with clients and team members.
• CPA certification or progress toward obtaining it is preferred.
