Senior Accountant

Compensation: $68 to $78 Yearly

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, you will oversee essential accounting functions, including grant management, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and tax-related tasks. This position requires a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance with accounting principles, and maintaining confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee and coordinate general accounting processes, including grants, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, on a regular basis.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are properly recorded.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes to meet organizational deadlines.
• Handle tax-related responsibilities, including preparation of tax returns and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to manage financial data and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial data integrity and alignment with organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and relevant regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax preparation.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and complex formula creation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close processes and prepare financial statements.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.

Compensation

$68,000.00-$78,000.00 Yearly
