Litigation Associate Attorney
Growing boutique litigation firm in downtown Minneapolis is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 2–4+ years of experience in commercial or civil litigation who is looking for greater hands-on responsibility, direct client engagement, and long-term growth. The firm fosters a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where associates are entrusted with meaningful work.
This role is ideal for an attorney with a solid litigation foundation and prior law firm experience who is ready to take the next step in developing their practice within a high-performing boutique environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial and resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and written discovery
- Manage discovery processes, including taking and defending depositions
- Appear in court for hearings and related proceedings
- Assist with case strategy, trial preparation, and execution
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
- Collaborate closely with partners on case development and overall litigation strategy
Qualifications:

- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed in Minnesota (or ability to obtain admission promptly)
- 2+ years of experience in commercial or civil litigation
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Experience with motion practice and discovery management
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently
- Interest in working in a collaborative, high-performing boutique environment
