Senior Accountant

Compensation: $75 to $90 Yearly

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support core accounting activities and help maintain timely, accurate financial reporting for a growing healthcare organization. This role works closely with finance leadership to manage close activities, strengthen day-to-day accounting operations, and support compliance across multiple reporting areas. The position is well suited for someone who enjoys balancing technical accounting work with process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:
• Lead key components of the monthly close cycle, including preparing and posting journal entries and helping ensure reporting deadlines are met.
• Record payroll-related accounting activity accurately and resolve discrepancies in coordination with internal stakeholders.
• Review invoice coding, support proper expense classification, and work with accounts payable to facilitate timely vendor payments.
• Prepare accounting entries for revenue and accounts receivable transactions while helping maintain accurate subsidiary and general ledger records.
• Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts on a recurring basis, including cash accounts and related bank activity.
• Maintain accounting for fixed assets and lease arrangements, including tracking additions, adjustments, and ongoing compliance requirements.
• Compile grant-related invoices and prepare supporting financial reports for external funding sources as needed.
• Partner with finance leadership on ad hoc analysis, reporting needs, and other departmental priorities that support operational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• At least five years of progressive accounting experience in a detail-focused setting.

• Demonstrated success managing month-end close activities, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations.

• Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations, account analysis, and financial statement support.

• Knowledge of revenue recognition, accounts receivable processes, and payables support activities.

• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively


Compensation

$75,000.00-$90,000.00 Yearly
