As a Charge Nurse, you will play a vital role in our healthcare team by providing high-quality nursing care and supporting unit objectives and administrative policies. You will work under the supervision of the Unit Director of Nurses, performing both general and specialized nursing duties within your legal scope of practice. In this role, you will assist the Director of Nurses in overseeing clinic personnel and may step in for them when they are absent. You will also interact regularly with both patients and clinic staff to ensure the delivery of safe and competent care.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Makes daily assignments and ensures completion of tasks.
  • Communicates patient data using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to support decision making and improve patient care.
  • Administers or assists with medication administration and documentation.
  • Supports unit goals by attending meetings and sharing information with staff.
  • Participates in quality audits.
  • Maintains documentation to ensure standards of care and policy compliance.
  • Conducts job evaluations and handles disciplinary actions.
  • Keeps accurate records of employee performance.

    • Work Hours 5:00AM-5:00PM
    • No Night Shift

Required Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited nursing program. Two years of nursing experience, with at least 6 months of that experience as a Registered Nurse. Possession of a valid, current RN license as approved by the Texas State Board of Examiners.
