Financial Accounting Manager
We are working with a growing organization here in Austin that’s looking to bring on a Financial Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys owning the close process, strengthening controls, and partnering across the business in a structured, regulated environment.
This position sits at the center of financial reporting and compliance, with strong visibility to leadership and the opportunity to help shape accounting processes as the company continues to scale.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Oversee general ledger activity including review of journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
• Prepare and review financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Research and document technical accounting matters, providing guidance on complex or unusual transactions
• Manage key accounting areas such as revenue recognition, leases, and other technical topics
• Support compliance efforts within a regulated environment, including external reviews and audit-related activities
• Enhance internal controls by developing policies, improving processes, and supporting documentation and testing efforts
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and manage audit timelines and requests
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk across accounting operations
• Lead and develop accounting staff while partnering with finance and operational teams to support business needs
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Background combining public accounting and industry experience, with prior leadership exposure
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks
• Experience working in a regulated or compliance-driven environment
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar
• Advanced Excel skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and operate in a fast-paced environment
• CPA or experience with complex compliance environments is a plus
Compensation
$145,000.00-$150,000.00 YearlyAbout Us
