Staff Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and record journal entries to ensure financial transactions are accurately reflected in the accounting system.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Support the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns in accordance with applicable regulations and deadlines.
• Handle sales tax reporting activities, including reviewing transactions and assisting with timely submissions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes by organizing supporting documentation and completing assigned accounting tasks.
• Review financial data for accuracy and consistency, helping strengthen reporting reliability and internal controls.
• Partner with internal teams to gather accounting information and respond to questions related to financial records.
Qualifications:
• Experience performing staff accounting duties in a corporate or business environment.
• Working knowledge of corporate tax processes, including preparation support for corporate tax returns.
• Familiarity with sales tax reporting requirements and related accounting treatment.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation practices.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Solid communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
