Buyer

We are looking for a Buyer to support procurement operations for a Contract position based in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role focuses on coordinating purchasing activities, maintaining supply continuity, and working closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical ability, sound judgment in supplier review, and experience managing purchasing processes in a structured business environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities by preparing, issuing, and tracking purchase orders to support operational needs
• Review demand, pricing, and supplier performance data to make informed buying decisions and improve procurement outcomes
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to confirm specifications, quantities, delivery timelines, and order priorities
• Evaluate vendors based on cost, quality, responsiveness, and reliability to support effective sourcing decisions
• Maintain accurate procurement records, monitor order status, and resolve discrepancies related to shipments, invoices, or documentation
• Support established procurement processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance, and service levels
• Work within a manufacturing or similarly process-driven environment to align purchasing activity with business requirements
• Assist with procurement-related system updates or process changes when needed as part of operational responsibilities

Qualifications:

• Experience in a Buyer role with hands-on responsibility for procurement functions and purchasing workflows
• Working knowledge of procurement processes, buying procedures, and purchase order management
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and use findings to support purchasing decisions
• Experience assessing suppliers and comparing vendor performance across service, quality, and cost factors
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders and priorities effectively
• Clear communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
• Background in a manufacturing company or other operationally structured environment is preferred

Compensation

$34.20-$39.60 Hourly
