| Job Summary |
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory seeks a Scientist I/Bacteriology Supervisor.
The duties of this position include: Culture and isolation of microorganisms, assure that all the specimens are processed. Perform and oversee the operation of MALDI-TOF. Perform antimicrobial susceptibility test. Implement and maintain quality of program. Manage and supervise Bacteriology/Mycology Section. Assist faculty member/section chief of bacteriology section to provide quality and efficient technical work in a veterinary diagnostic bacteriology lab to contribute to the long term profitability of primary producers of animal industry. Assist faculty member/section chief with special projects as needed. This position is located at the Coldstream Research Campus off Newtown Pike (great location and free parking).
