| Physical Requirements | This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Also involves some exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, and blood-borne or airborne pathogens. |
| Shift | This position works 10 hour days, primarily Monday through Friday, with alternating day off. May occasional work 8 hour shifts depending on need of clinic. |
| Job Summary | This Pharmacist position will provide comprehensive pharmacy services including anticoagulation education and management to adult patients in an Ambulatory Clinic setting. Services may include Medication Therapy Management, pharmacokinetic/anti-coagulation monitoring, clinical interventions, cost-effective care analysis, teaching, precepting pharmacy residents, and pharmacy representation in Medical Center Committees. |
| Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Strong clinical skills; knowledge of inpatient drug distribution and dispensing; ability to prioritize; excellent communication skills; team mentality; desire to teach; and motivation are required to excel in this position. |
