This position will be located in either Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do:
Senior Principal Engineer, Software Quality Assurance will be responsible for one or more software development Scrum teams on the Sentinel or other SDS programs. Our focus is on ensuring process execution and efficiencies in the development, testing and release of the software deliverables.
Roles and responsibilities:
Support individual scrum/sprint teams by attending meetings, creating Jira dashboard tools to help monitor progress and execution efficiency. Offer suggestions for improvement to the software leadership.
Understand process health, progress and stability metrics when required
Become fluent in the use of tools; Jira, Confluence, Jazz, DOORS or others as needed
Be a constructive advocate for Mission Assurance and relentlessly articulate our Value Proposition to our stakeholders
Ensure Sentinel software is in compliance with industry guidelines and contractual requirements for development of military weapon systems.
Maintain a keen focus on employee engagement, teaming and collaboration, process improvement, rework reduction, and continuous improvement.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access
Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Experience in developing and implementing Software Quality Assurance plans.
Experience in developing and using metrics for process health and performance monitoring
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Missile Systems/Sub-Systems design, construction, or sustainment
Experience in process monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metric reporting for a large program/supplier-base.
Experience in Peer Reviews and Code Reviews
Experience in software build testing, qualification, and Integration and Test
Able to read and understand Software Code (C++, Java, Python)
Ability to understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems and software problem tracking tools (e.g., SAP, DOORs, Jira, Confluence)
Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology
