Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Production/Material Control Analyst based out of Annapolis, MD.

 

Primary Function:

Receive, control and expedite all paperwork, materials, and services necessary of the completion of assigned major projects. Guide and assist lower classified personnel as required. Aid in the solution of more complex paperwork, processing or expediting problems and assist higher classified personnel in maintaining schedules.

What You’ll get to Do:

The Production/Material Control Analyst will expedite materials, parts and services required to produce units and assemblies according to established procedures or detailed instructions. Receive and check equipment, tools, components, and all incoming materials.

 

  • Receive tools and other stock from receiving using current standards, checking to ensure that identification and quantities received are correct. Unpack tools and stock, visually check for damage and place in assigned bin location. Post receipt of all tools and stock to inventory records

  • Maintain inventory records for stock to verify quantities on hand.

  • As needed, operate motor vehicles to include company truck, forklift, and crane.

  • Maintain government property records and coordinate movement of government property

  • Check status of, and expedite where necessary, all required tools, test facilities, or proper paperwork required to send material or parts to subcontractors/vendors

  • Adhere to established procedures and practices as required.

  • Initiate, review, update and maintain records associated with the job being followed such as shortage lists, purchase order status, material availability lists and the like. Follow, expedite and control jobs and material through shop production. Segregate and break down received material into next higher assembly kits for release to shop production.

  • Monitor the input/output of various processing, assembly and machining operations and materials being processed to and from the storeroom including the segregating of material by program and /or other criteria, as required.

  • Perform material and shop inventories. Expedite material from Receiving through Receiving Inspection as required.

  • Aid and assist higher classified personnel in solving production delay problems, securing schedule adjustments and rerouting jobs, incorporating applicable revision notice; obtaining new manufacturing information for networks and/ or remakes and expediting as required to re-enter such requirements into the production cycle. Recommend actions necessary to minimize production delays.

  • Prepare and maintain necessary reports, records, forms and logs for incoming material such as Government furnished property, NG-owned and leased capital equipment, returned materials for repair, test equipment, tools, and expense materials. Forward paperwork to designated personnel as required.

  • Assist Government inspector and property personnel in verifying the receipts of equipment as required. Perform other related duties necessary to maintain proper control of Government and NG-owned equipment and/or demonstration and trial equipment loaded by vendor.

  • Perform miscellaneous duties which may fall within the scope of this position description.

  • Adhere to established procedures and practices as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education requirement High School Diploma or equivalent

  •  1.5 years as a Production Material Control Clerk or equivalent OR at least 3.5 years experience in Production Material Control functions

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Experience with Inventory, Expediting, Receiving, and/or Storeroom/Warehouse activities

  • Experience with SAP

  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret clearance

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift certification

  • Government Property Management Experience

  • Current Top Secret clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $48,460.00 - $112,169.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
