HR Intern
Job Description:
Position Objective:
Join our Human Resources team at our Richton Park, IL facility and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you'll do more than observe—you'll contribute. This internship is designed for someone who is eager to take ownership of projects, collaborate with leaders across the organization, and help drive initiatives from concept to completion.
As an HR Intern, you'll gain exposure to multiple areas of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, training and development, benefits, payroll, and HR operations. You'll work alongside experienced HR professionals while leading and supporting projects that make a meaningful impact on the employee experience.
What You'll Do
Take ownership of assigned HR projects and initiatives, driving them from planning through execution and follow-up.
Partner with HR team members and cross-functional leaders to support employee engagement, communication, and workplace culture initiatives.
Assist with recruiting and onboarding activities, helping create a positive candidate and new hire experience.
Support employee programs, training events, wellness initiatives, and professional development activities.
Create and enhance HR communications, including announcements, presentations, newsletters, and reports.
Analyze HR data and trends to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
Maintain employee records and HR systems while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Assist with payroll, attendance tracking, and other HR operational processes.
Help facilitate employee support programs, including access badge administration, uniforms, safety-related processes, and employment verifications.
Gain exposure to HR policies, compliance requirements, and best practices within a manufacturing environment.
Contribute ideas, identify opportunities for improvement, and help implement solutions that improve efficiency and the employee experience.
What We're Looking For
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
Self-motivated and eager to take initiative, solve problems, and see projects through to completion.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Compensation Information:
$22-$28
