Paralegal
Responsibilities:
• Support discovery efforts by helping prepare responses, assembling production materials, and maintaining accuracy throughout the process.
• Examine case records, correspondence, and underlying matter documents to organize materials for legal review, production, and trial preparation.
• Sort and classify documents into clear case categories so attorneys can quickly access relevant information for strategy and courtroom use.
• Review files for confidential or protected content and assist with appropriate redactions before materials are released.
• Maintain oversight of document productions distributed through SharePoint, including tracking status and ensuring records remain organized.
• Provide hands-on trial support by assembling exhibit binders, witness binders, and other key case materials needed for hearings and trial.
• Build issue-based case files and connect supporting documentation to each topic for efficient legal analysis.
• Prepare focused document sets by issue to streamline attorney review and support presentation during trial.
• Assist with document control processes such as Bates labeling and production organization for litigation matters.
Qualifications:
• Previous paralegal experience in litigation environments with direct involvement in discovery, document review, productions, and trial preparation.• Demonstrated background preparing trial materials such as exhibit binders, witness binders, issue files, and organized document sets.
• Ability to recognize potentially privileged or protected communications and support redaction workflows with sound judgment.
• Strong organizational skills with experience managing large volumes of case documents in a structured and accurate manner.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint and familiarity with document production practices, including Bates numbering.
• Experience supporting civil litigation matters; exposure to legal malpractice cases or closely related matters is preferred.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with attorneys and case teams under deadlines.
