Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Record and review journal entries to support accurate general ledger activity across multiple entities.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve variances to help ensure reliable month-end reporting.
• Perform bank reconciliations, calculate interest-related entries, and process accounts receivable billings for fees, intercompany activity, and reimbursements.
• Prepare and submit sales tax filings in accordance with established reporting deadlines and jurisdictional requirements.
• Oversee corporate card transactions and employee expense reports to confirm proper coding, documentation, and policy compliance.
• Post cash activity as needed and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing transactions.
• Support the financial closeout and clean-up of completed or inactive entities and projects.
• Partner with internal departments to investigate accounting discrepancies, strengthen accuracy, and address operational issues.
• Assist accounting leadership with special assignments while safeguarding confidential information, following internal controls, and escalating unusual activity when identified.
Qualifications:
• Experience supporting month-end close processes in a senior-level accounting capacity.• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.
• Proven ability to complete account reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.
• Hands-on experience performing bank reconciliations and researching variances.
• Familiarity with sales tax reporting and multi-entity accounting environments.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining organized and precise work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Compensation
