HR Generalist

Compensation: $35 to $45 Hourly

Robert Half is working with a rapidly growing artificial intelligence company at the forefront of innovation, is seeking a highly adaptable and experienced HR Generalist to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and enjoys building scalable people processes while supporting a dynamic workforce.


The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing employee relations, compliance, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR operations. This role offers strong long-term growth potential within a cutting-edge organization shaping the future of AI technology.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Coordinate and manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employee records management, and HRIS maintenance.
  • Support employee relations matters by partnering with leadership and employees to resolve workplace concerns professionally and confidentially.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and assist with leave of absence management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Assist with performance management processes, employee engagement initiatives, and organizational development efforts.
  • Support recruiting activities, including interview coordination, candidate communications, and new hire onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate employee documentation and personnel files.
  • Generate HR reports and metrics to support business decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve HR processes and contribute to a positive employee experience.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as the company continues to scale.



Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance.
  • Experience supporting employees in a fast-paced startup, technology, or high-growth environment preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.



Compensation

$35.00-$45.00 Hourly
