Staff Accountant

We are looking for a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join a construction company based in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role is integral in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations while supporting various accounting processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic environment. Due to the nature of the work and onsite requirements, preference will be given to Hawaii residents. Applicants should be able to reliably commute or reside within the region to meet business needs. Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements to support organizational decision-making.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

• Perform account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.

• Handle payroll processing, ensuring timely and precise employee compensation.

• Conduct job costing analyses to track project expenses and profitability.

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities to guide financial planning.

• Collaborate with the accounting manager to streamline reporting and operational processes.

• Maintain organized and detailed financial records to ensure audit readiness.

• Assist with identifying areas for improvement within accounting systems and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial statement preparation and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Familiarity with payroll systems and job costing methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Compensation

$65,000.00-$80,000.00 Yearly
