Property Accountant

We are looking for a skilled Property Accountant to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. As part of our organization, you will manage financial operations related to property accounting, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in accounting software and financial processes.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for property portfolios, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and correct financial reporting.
• Oversee accrual accounting and ensure compliance with established standards.
• Utilize Yardi software to perform financial analysis and reporting tasks.
• Monitor and maintain the general ledger, ensuring entries are properly recorded.
• Collaborate with property managers to address accounting inquiries and provide financial insights.
• Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of property-related financial information.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in property accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency with Yardi software and other accounting tools.
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing month-end closing processes.
• Solid understanding of general ledger functions and financial reconciliations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Compensation

$100,000.00-$110,000.00 Yearly
