If so, our Defense Systems wants you to join our Team as General Manufacturing Manager 1 and support the manufacturing and sustainment of our MESA Antenna structural assembly at our Lake Charles facility.
Role description & Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily production and manufacturing operations direct reports.
Ensuring compliance to Quality Management System (QMS) business policies and processes.
Manages a team including performance reviews, motivating, guiding and mentoring team members.
Ensuring team cross training and development plans are in place.
Oversees and manages all operational aspects of a (one or more) manufacturing and/or production area(s)
Provides direction and motivates employees on a project basis to employees, guided by established practices and precedents.
Responsible for the safety of the employees, delivering quality products on time and within customer cost targets, as well as continuous improvement
Provides support for engineering staff in the operation and maintenance (routine and non-routine) of manufacturing equipment.
Works directly with maintenance and engineering in running, maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
Assesses issues and develop mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, and delivery goals
Schedules work, leads and trains direct reports, and controls processes on a scheduled basis within cost parameters while maintaining positive working relationships.
Provides sound judgment and ensures overall quality and efficiency of the department
Perform required SAP/CATS/Workday transactions to manage personnel, planning and financials
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and operating procedures
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED and 5 years of related production experience as a lead or supervisor in aerospace, aviation, and/or related environment
Related experience can be defined as but not limited to production/manufacturing experience, production planning, and manufacturing data analysis
Experience in MS Office software applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.)
U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in aerospace manufacturing
Lean or Green Belt certified
The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Level Security clearance
Familiar with manufacturing processes and material flow.
