Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role involves providing essential accounting support for our real estate investment and development projects, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and receivable for real estate investment and development entities.
• Perform monthly and annual financial close processes, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and property-related capital accruals.
• Set up and maintain lease data in accounting software while overseeing rent collection and processing.
• Conduct annual reconciliation processes and address tenant inquiries related to reconciliations.
• Handle annual 1099 filings with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare financial reports for partners, lenders, and CPAs as required.
• Assist with construction draw preparation and submission.
• Process monthly debt service payments, reconcile loan activities, and maintain accurate records.
• Generate various accounting, administrative, and financial reports, and perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in commercial real estate or construction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Basic analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Familiarity with accounting software, particularly those related to real estate, is a plus.

Compensation

$60,000.00-$70,000.00 Yearly
