Litigation Legal Assistant
Legal Administrative Assistant – Litigation (Edwardsville, IL | Hybrid)
A nationally recognized litigation law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support its litigation team in the Edwardsville office. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and has prior litigation support experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to attorneys and paralegals
- Format briefs, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents
- File documents in state and federal courts (e-filing experience required)
- Proofread documents to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to filing or distribution
- Maintain and update client files and records
- Manage attorney calendars in Outlook, including scheduling deadlines and appointments
- Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare reimbursement and mileage requests
- Enter, review, and revise timekeeper timesheets, including litigation codes
- Review vendor invoices and prepare accurate check requests
- Assist with conflict checks and intake submissions
- Provide responsive phone support to attorneys
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with PACER, File & Serve, Odyssey, and iManage (Aderant a plus)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to meeting deadlines
- Strong customer service mindset and team-oriented approach

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $55,000–$75,000 (based on experience)
