Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support invoice processing for a retail food store in Palm Springs, California. This is a Contract position expected to last 6-8 weeks, with a schedule on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The ideal candidate brings strong speed and precision in data entry and is comfortable working in QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:
• Enter a high volume of invoice information into QuickBooks with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Review invoice details carefully to ensure amounts, vendor information, and coding are recorded correctly.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records to support daily accounting operations.
• Identify and correct data discrepancies by checking entries against source documents.
• Support the accounting team with routine clerical tasks related to invoice handling and record maintenance.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in an accounting clerk, invoice processing, or similar data entry-focused position.
• Hands-on experience using QuickBooks in a detail-focused work environment.
• Strong keyboarding and data entry skills with consistent attention to detail.
• Ability to process invoices quickly while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Comfortable working a Monday through Wednesday schedule for the duration of a 6-8 week assignment.

Compensation

$17.41-$22.00 Hourly
