Medical Customer Service Rep

Compensation: $17 to $18 Hourly

We are looking for a Medical Customer Service Rep to support patient communication and service operations. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who combines strong customer support experience with familiarity in a healthcare environment. The person in this role will handle a high volume of patient calls, provide clear information, and help resolve billing and service-related questions with professionalism and accuracy.

Responsibilities:
• Place outbound calls to patients and other contacts to provide updates, gather needed information, and support ongoing service needs.
• Respond to incoming inquiries with a courteous, solutions-focused approach while documenting interactions accurately.
• Assist patients with billing-related questions by explaining charges, payment details, and next steps in a clear manner.
• Use medical terminology appropriately when discussing services, patient matters, and general healthcare-related information.
• Maintain detailed records of conversations, follow-up items, and service outcomes in the appropriate systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams to address unresolved concerns and ensure timely completion of patient requests.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a call center or customer support role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of basic medical terminology and the ability to use it correctly in patient conversations.
• Comfortable managing both outbound and inbound calls in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle patient interactions professionally and empathetically.
• Familiarity with patient billing concepts and the ability to explain related information clearly.
• Solid attention to detail and accuracy when entering information and tracking follow-up actions.

Compensation

$17.00-$18.00 Hourly
