Matrimonial and Family Law Attorney
Our client is seeking an experienced Matrimonial and Family Law Attorney to join their growing Matrimonial Department. We are looking for a motivated, professional attorney who is confident handling divorce, custody, child and spousal support, and related family law matters, and who is comfortable managing cases independently while working within a collaborative and supportive team environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking long-term professional growth within a busy, dynamic, and dedicated practice. The position is full-time and based in New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Manage matrimonial and family law cases from inception through resolution
- Handle divorce, custody, parenting time, support, and post-judgment matters
- Draft motions, pleadings, agreements, and other legal documents
- Appear in court for conferences, hearings, and litigation proceedings
- Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic legal guidance
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Minimum of four (4) years of New York matrimonial and family law experience
- Ability to independently manage cases from start to finish
- Strong courtroom, writing, advocacy, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Excellent time-management skills and attention to detail
- Professional, responsive, and client-focused
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in a second language is a plus
Requirements:
- Admission to the New York Bar required
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar is a plus
- Prior New Jersey family law experience is a plus
- Comfortable with frequent court appearances and direct client interaction
Compensation
