Junior Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Conduct recurring reviews of revenue and financial transactions to confirm records are complete and accurate.
• Reconcile bank activity against internal accounting records and research any unmatched items or variances.
• Build, maintain, and update spreadsheets used for financial tracking, reporting, and audit support.
• Assist with ledger review activities, account analysis, and preparation of routine accounting documentation.
• Examine financial information for errors, omissions, or inconsistencies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Prepare standard financial summaries and audit-related reports for ongoing accounting operations.
• Provide support during month-end close by organizing data, verifying balances, and completing assigned accounting tasks.
• Follow established accounting controls, confidentiality standards, and internal financial procedures in daily work.
Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a closely related finance function is preferred.• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manage and organize spreadsheet-based reporting.
• Practical experience handling bank reconciliations and routine financial report preparation.
• Familiarity with general ledger activity, journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to review audit-related data carefully and maintain a high level of accuracy in financial work.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities independently.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in a workplace environment that requires close attention to detail.
• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
