Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of general ledger activity across accounting periods.
• Lead key portions of the monthly and annual close cycle to help ensure financial results are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank activity and inventory-related balances, and investigate discrepancies as needed.
• Review inventory transactions such as count adjustments, reserve activity, and valuation changes to support accurate cost reporting.
• Analyze cost of goods sold, margin performance, and financial variances to identify trends and explain results.
• Contribute to revenue accounting activities by aligning recorded results with product shipment, delivery, and control transfer events.
• Produce recurring financial reports and supporting schedules for management review and decision support.
• Use Epicor to manage accounting records, reporting activity, and transactions across core financial modules.
• Support audit readiness, tax-related reconciliations, and year-end reporting requirements by preparing documentation and account support.
• Partner with operations, purchasing, and warehouse teams to improve processes and strengthen the accuracy of financial information.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience with month-end close activities in a senior-level accounting role.• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliation practices.
• Hands-on experience performing bank reconciliations and supporting accurate cash management.
• Ability to prepare financial reports and interpret variances in operating results.
• Background working with inventory accounting, cost analysis, or product-based financial environments.
• Proficiency with Epicor or similar ERP systems used for accounting and reporting functions.
• Solid attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Compensation
