Attorney/Lawyer

We are seeking a litigation attorney, preferably with defense experience, to support an in-house team with start to finish litigation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage defense litigation matters from initial review through trial preparation, keeping cases on track and aligned with deadlines.

• Develop case strategies, coordinate witness readiness, and support all stages of trial planning.

• Prepare and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, and related legal documents for court filings.

• Perform legal research tied to Georgia statutes, court rules, and relevant case law to support litigation strategy.

• Submit documents through electronic court filing systems accurately and within required timeframes.

• Review medical records in detail, assemble chronologies, and assess issues involving prior injuries or pre-existing conditions.

• Work closely with attorneys and legal staff to move matters forward efficiently and address case developments promptly.

• Maintain organized case documentation and updates within the designated case management platform.

Qualifications:

• Must have active Georgia bar.

• 1 to 3 years of litigation experience in a defense-focused legal environment preferred.

• Background in insurance defense is preferred; experience in personal injury defense or workers’ compensation defense is also valued.

• Working knowledge of Georgia trial practice and civil procedure requirements.

• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical capabilities.

• Ability to manage assignments independently in a remote or hybrid work setting while collaborating with a distributed team.

• Solid organizational skills with attention to detail in document preparation and case tracking
