Sr. Financial Analyst
We are looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to support enterprise-level reporting, planning, and performance analysis for a leading global organization. This Contract position will focus on consolidating financial information, preparing meaningful insights for leadership, and contributing to informed business decisions across a complex financial services environment. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, hands-on accounting knowledge, and the ability to translate detailed financial results into clear recommendations.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review consolidated financial results, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery to key stakeholders.
• Analyze financial performance trends and develop reporting that supports executive visibility into business results.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities to help guide strategic and operational decisions.
• Create ad hoc financial analyses to address emerging business questions and support leadership requests.
• Record and validate journal entries as part of regular accounting and financial close activities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to interpret financial data and improve reporting quality across business units.
• Support complex finance initiatives within an insurance and financial services setting, including work tied to reporting process changes when needed.
• Translate detailed financial findings into concise summaries and actionable recommendations for decision-makers.
Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in financial analysis, reporting, and consolidation within a complex organization.• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including IFRS and hands-on journal entry preparation.
• Background in insurance, financial services, or a similarly regulated industry environment.
• Proven ability to manage financial planning activities such as forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Skilled in preparing ad hoc analysis and presenting insights that support strategic decisions.
• Strong knowledge of accounting functions, financial reporting processes, and operational finance activities.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Compensation
