Senior Staff Accountant
We are looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations and help maintain accurate financial records for the organization. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail who can manage daily accounting activities, contribute to tax-related processes, and ensure the integrity of the general ledger. The position offers the opportunity to work across multiple accounting functions while partnering with internal teams to support timely and compliant financial reporting. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and record journal entries to ensure financial transactions are accurately reflected in the accounting system.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain complete and reliable financial records.
• Support corporate tax activities, including gathering documentation and assisting with the preparation of tax return information.
• Manage sales tax processes by reviewing transaction data, helping maintain compliance, and supporting timely filings.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities to help deliver accurate financial statements on schedule.
• Analyze accounting data and provide insights that improve accuracy, consistency, and overall financial controls.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to collect financial information, resolve accounting issues, and support audit or reporting needs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• Progressive accounting experience in a staff or senior staff accountant capacity.
• Practical knowledge of corporate tax and sales tax processes.
• Strong experience preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accuracy.
• Ability to review financial information carefully and resolve discrepancies independently.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheet tools used for reconciliations and reporting.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Compensation
