Staff Accountant

We are looking for a meticulous and driven Staff Accountant to join our team in Englewood, Colorado. This role involves supporting general accounting operations across multiple branches, assisting with month-end closings, and ensuring financial reporting accuracy. The position requires collaboration with the Controller and operational leaders to maintain compliance and streamline processes.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments to ensure accurate financial records.
• Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Support intercompany transactions and allocation of branch-level expenses.
• Create internal financial reports and related supporting documentation.
• Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies in financial data.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and process depreciation entries.
• Review accounts payable entries for accuracy and proper documentation.
• Contribute to compliance efforts and assist with annual audit preparations.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in accounting roles.
• Strong understanding of general ledger functions and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Ability to manage activities across multiple branch locations and meet deadlines.
• Experience in construction or manufacturing industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or similar systems.
• Analytical mindset with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Compensation

$65,000.00-$75,000.00 Yearly
