Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Lead accounting activities tied to capital investment tracking, ensuring accurate reporting and support for division-level spending.
• Support the preparation of consolidated financial results, including monthly performance reporting, forecasts, and annual planning materials.
• Manage critical month-end close tasks by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, reviewing variances, and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Share capital expenditure insights with leadership to help monitor spending trends and business performance.
• Coordinate intercompany account activity during the close process and help ensure balances are recorded accurately across entities.
• Review intercompany transactions between divisions, investigate discrepancies, and help resolve matching issues in a timely manner.
• Deliver financial and operational analysis that helps business leaders evaluate results and make informed decisions.
• Contribute to the annual budget cycle and periodic forecasting efforts by compiling data and analyzing financial expectations.
• Assist with property tax-related calculations and reviews in partnership with external advisors, while also supporting additional accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with demonstrated strength in financial reporting and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with capital expenditure accounting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Strong working knowledge of month-end close procedures, including journal entries and general ledger activity.
• Experience performing account reconciliations and reviewing balance sheet support schedules.
• Familiarity with intercompany accounting and resolving transaction discrepancies across business units.
• Background in fixed asset accounting and bank reconciliations is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work across multiple priorities.
Compensation
