Front Desk Coordinator

Compensation: $22 to $25 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced and service-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to support daily front office operations in San Diego, California. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming environment, managing incoming communications, and keeping the reception area running smoothly. The person in this role will serve as a key point of contact for visitors, callers, and internal teams while maintaining a detail-oriented and organized presence at the front desk.

Responsibilities:
• Welcome guests and employees with a courteous, detail-oriented approach while ensuring the front desk area remains orderly and presentable.
• Manage a multi-line phone system by answering, screening, and routing incoming calls to the appropriate departments in a timely manner.
• Provide front office support by responding to general inquiries, offering basic assistance, and directing visitors based on business needs.
• Coordinate concierge-style assistance for guests and staff, helping create a positive and efficient on-site experience.
• Monitor visitor flow and maintain accurate sign-in procedures while following company protocols for front desk operations.
• Receive and relay messages clearly and promptly to support smooth communication across the organization.
• Assist with routine administrative tasks associated with reception coverage and day-to-day office support.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure incoming calls, guest needs, and lobby activity are handled efficiently throughout the day.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a front desk, receptionist, or customer-facing office support role.
• Demonstrated ability to operate a multi-line or switchboard phone system with accuracy and care.
• Strong verbal communication skills with confidence handling a high volume of inbound calls.
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service to visitors, clients, and internal staff.
• Comfortable managing several tasks at once while maintaining attention to detail in a busy reception environment.
• Detail-oriented demeanor, dependable attendance, and a welcoming presence at the front desk.
• Basic administrative and organizational skills to support daily office operations effectively.

Compensation

$22.00-$25.00 Hourly
