We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization seeking a Controller to lead accounting and finance operations. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnership across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing experience, hands-on leadership skills, and a proactive approach to driving financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all accounting operations, including General Ledger, AP, AR, Payroll, and Cost Accounting
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Drive cost accounting, standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and GAAP compliance
- Partner with Operations and Leadership to improve profitability and performance
- Support capital planning, long-range forecasting, and strategic initiatives
- Manage banking relationships, debt covenants, and insurance programs
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Support acquisitions, divestitures, and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Manufacturing and cost accounting experience
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Prior Controller or accounting leadership experience
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- ERP system experience and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
